San Jose, CA–May 6, 1997–Stanford Resources Inc. (San Jose, CA) announced that due to increased customer demand, it now provides liquid crystal display (LCD) analysis in eight of its flat panel display (FPD) industry reports. The company credits the heightened demand to the fact that LCDs now comprise 87 percent of current FPD market sales. Stanford Resources attributes this increased sales volume to the introduction of larger LCDs in notebook computers, new LCD monitors on the market, and an increased number of LCD manufacturing facilities.

The shipment of the performance accelerator marks the first time a handheld PC company has provided such a significant product improvement free of charge. In addition, Philips began shipping Velo accessories to all sales channels; an expanded list of retailers was announced separately.
